The owners of three summer cabins in Arizona's White Mountains will need to consult their homeowners insurance company after a wildfire that's already burned thousands of acres of forest consumed their property.

Between three and six homes were destroyed as the Wallow fire spread Friday, including one mobile home, officials with Apache County Emergency Services told the Associated Press. The U.S. Forest Service also told the source that the blaze has now consumed 106,000 acres of land, a rate of destruction that makes it the fourth largest wildfire in state history.

Residents of Alpine were ordered to evacuate Thursday night and take shelter at Blue Ridge High School. The report said smoke from the fire was spotted in Albuquerque, New Mexico - more than 200 miles away.

Fire officials in Arizona have more than just the Wallow blaze to concern themselves with.

The Horseshoe Two fire continues to consume much of the forestland in southeast Arizona, forcing evacuations and destroying 86,000 acres. Fire officials told the AP they had the blaze 75 percent under control until strong winds kick started it, bringing containment down to 50 percent.
